I wasn’t always a Therapist. Quite the opposite, for 20+ years I was a six-figure earning corporate hardhitter for a well-known national company. A high heeled woman in a grey suited man’s world. Loved it. Until my world imploded in mid-thirties. Six miscarriages in two years is a story for another day.
When you lose one baby, your perspective changes. When you lose six, your life changes.
I gave up my job, went travelling and invested in serious self-care. Managed my stress, my aches and pains, my shocking periods through acupuncture and coaching. Spent time in nature. It worked. I now have a daughter.

Later, when I returned to the working world after having my child, I found myself a square peg in a round hole and totally uninspired by the job. One day, I pulled up in the car park outside work and was listening to a radio article about acupuncture. That night, I googled courses and a week later I enrolled on a Masters degree in Chinese Medicine.
It was like a light had come on.
My reason for doing what I do now is so I can reach people who need help to live a better life either managing or recovering from whatever wellness issues are holding them back.

So, I am the world’s biggest introvert and used to struggle with this, wanting to be someone I wasn’t, but now aged 44 I’m over myself and love who I am and the woman I have become. I am privileged to be featured in two books about inspiring women and I am one very few Post-Graduate Degree holders of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the UK, awarded by one of the most prestigious alternative medicine colleges in the world.
As well as my TCM background, I have hundreds of hours of western medical training to my name and further qualifications in specialist physical and aesthetic therapies. You are in expert hands.

The mind, body and spirit all interact. When one of these is under stress, it can show up in another. (Not always of course, you might simply have a muscle injury, which needs sorting!)
My treatments are about recognising this interplay; creating a balance between all three and achieving a new equilibrium.
I shine a light on the journey to wellbeing you need to take and use a blend of techniques to guide you along the way – for those who want to dig a little deeper, it’s a journey that will makes you wiser as you continually learn more about yourself and how your body, mind and spirit work together from an eastern medicine perspective.
With warmth, Kate
